Simply Smile provides teeth whitening and dental cleaning in Surrey. Just like a medical check-up, regular oral check-ups are part of optimal wellness. Unfortunately, many Canadians cannot afford to access preventative dental care.
To assist underserved and vulnerable people in the Surrey community, Suji Kang, founder and dental hygienist at Simply Smile, is teaming up with the Gift from the Heart Foundation in collaboration with Mom2Mom to host an event for single mothers and their children on Friday, July 22nd, 2022.
Apart from regular services, Suji and her team provide oral care and education to children. Preventative dental care is vital for little ones because it helps identify and stop costly dental issues before they start. Services include:
Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh recently proposed a dental plan aimed at children. The plan would cover 6.5 million people and save the average Canadian Family $1200 per year. It’s a calculated step because poor hygiene can result in severe illness and hospitalization if bacteria enters the bloodstream. Through the BC Healthy Kids Program, the provincial government also provides up to $2000 for two years to children under 18 and from low-income families for dental, optical, and hearing services. Service providers bill and receive payment directly from MSP. See program details.
At Simply Smile, we believe access to quality oral care is part of raising a happy, healthy family. Mom2Mom works to connect moms and children living in poverty with the resources, community, and support they need to thrive. By collaborating with Gift from the Heart, moms in Surrey will have access to quality oral care and education for their children.
As a local business owner, Suji Kang, and the team at Simply Smile believe giving back is part of creating a healthy community. Suji and her team specialize in kids’ dental cleaning in Surrey and are proud to work in collaboration with Gift from the Heart and Mom2Mom. Learn more at 604-353-6645.
